AUCTION INFORMATION

BUYERS PREMIUM: There will be a 3% Buyers Premium added to all auction purchases.  There will be a 3% discount for all on-site cash or check purchases.

CATALOGUED MULES:  The deadline for catalogued mules is April 20, 2009, on a first-come, first-served basis, up to a maximum of 100 mules. Jerry King reserves the right to refuse any mule that does not meet Select Saddle Mule Auction standards.  The consignment sheet must be filled out and returned along with a check for $125.00 for each mule consigned, as well as a photo of each mule. Videos of mules may be requested. A 6-month Coggins and a current health certificate for each mule MUST be turned in to the office upon arrival at the auction grounds. Also upon arrival, a fee of $5.00 per mule will be collected for brand inspection, in accordance with the laws of the state of Colorado. All mules must be delivered to the sale grounds no later than Thursday, June 11, 2009. Mules will be inspected for quality, condition, visible soundness and any signs of drug or medication use, upon arrival, and will be rejected from the auction if not suitable for sale. No catalog fees will be returned and no substitutions will be allowed. A no-sale fee of $20.00 will be charged on each mule no sold.

REQUIRED PAPERS:  All mules MUST have a current Coggins within six (6) months of sale date. All out-of-state mules MUST have current Health Certificates to enter sale premises. If you live in a brand state, you  should check with your local Brand Inspector and obtain any papers required to comply with the laws in your state.

PRIVATE SALES:  There will be NO PRIVATE SALES on the yard before or after the auction. In fairness to all prospective bidders, all mules brought to the sale must be consigned and go through our sale ring.

COMMISSION ON MULES:  A commission fee of 8% will be charged on each mule sold, and will be deducted from the Consignor’s check, which will be mailed within 15 banking days following sale date.  All mules must go through the sale ring and no private sales will be allowed.  All sales must go through the auction office.

GUARANTEE:  Each mule will be guaranteed sound by the auction company.  Mules not considered  sound, may be returned to Eagle and be inspected by the auction company’s veterinarian to determine the soundness of the mule.  All mules must be returned by 2:00 p.m. on June 14, 2009.  The Buyer will receive a full refund. The Seller will not be paid for the mule, but must pay the commission on the original selling price.  All guarantees between Buyer and Seller must be announced from the auction block.  No guarantees will be expressed or implied by the auctioneers, ringmen or auction company.  If a mule is returned, Seller must make every effort to pick up the returned mule in a timely manner, or daily stall and feed fee will be incurred.  Each mule purchased must be removed from the sale grounds on the day of the auction. If mules must be picked up at a later date, arrangements must be made in advance to have mules boarded, as they may not be left at the Fairgrounds.

BUYER’S  RESPONSIBILITIES:  The buyer assumes full ownership of the mule from the time they become the successful bidder in the sale ring, and is responsible for feeding, watering and all other care of the mule. Hay will be available for sale on the auction grounds, for your convenience.

LOAD-OUT:  Buyers must pay for all mules on the day of the sale. Upon payment, buyers will be issued a paid gate pass, which must be shown to auction personnel before leaving premises. If mules will be picked up by hired transportation, drivers must have the proper gate pass, or gate passes may be left at the auction office with load-out instructions.  Mules must be removed from the sale grounds on the day of sale, or buyer must make arrangements in advance to have mules boarded and cared for at an alternate location.

LIABILITY:  The Consignor releases King Auction & Realty Co., Inc. and its employees or representatives and the Eagle Co. Fairgrounds, City of Eagle and its employees or representatives, and all spectators from any responsibility for accidents that may occur to mules or equipment, or loss by fire, theft, injury or death to any human or animal in any manner. All Buyers, Consignors or Spectators are cautioned to exercise care while attending the auctions or rodeo and enter the premises at their own risk. The above named parties shall not be liable for injuries sustained by anyone attending the auctions or rodeo. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.  All dogs must be leashed while on the premises.
