Dutch Boy – 9-year old, Black w/4 White Feet Horse Mule, 15.2 hands, 1150 lbs.  Dutch Boy is black with four white socks – we call him such since it looks like he stepped in a bucket of “Dutch Boy” paint.  Acquired from our neighbor if the fall of ’06, he was just a pasture ornament; never started, barely halter broke.  We took him to Florida where he was started and he had 40 to 60 days scattered on him over the winter.  On the ground, he has been played with for trailer loading, swimming, and foot preparation.  This spring here in Colorado, he’s had an additional 40 days of riding, where he has been tracking cattle, following a roping dummy, and working a mechanical cow.  He has the potential to be a super mule.  The introduction to cows has helped bring out a lot more athleticism and interest.  He is a good citizen mule looking to continue his education with his new partner.  As an incredible bonus, Dutch Boy comes complete with an owner’s manual, which will show his new owner all he can do.  This manual comes in the form of Pat Parelli’s famous Level 1, Level 2, and Liberty and Horse Behavior education programs, which are valued at $ 1,538.90!.
NOTE: Last year Dutch Boy was taken out of the auction due to a gravel in his foot that had caused an abscess.  Pat and I both agreed to withdraw him. His foot healed up shortly after that and he is now 100% sound and ready to go.  He just has a year more of training and experience.

Sweetie – 8-year old Palomino Mare Mule, 13 hands, 750 lbs.  Sweetie is an awesome little mule with the heart of a big mule.  She belongs to my 7-year old son, Luke.  She will go anywhere she is pointed.  Sweetie has been hog hunting in the Ozark Mountains and went up mountains so steep, others had a hard time following Luke and Sweetie.  She is a trail riding deluxe; they lead the rides most of the time.  Sweetie has a good handle, backs well, has penned cattle and horses and been used in play days and rodeos.  Luke and the neighbor kids ride her after school all the time.  Luke can catch, saddle and ride her by himself.  This is Luke’s first mule to sell and he has really put in a lot of time with her so he can try to be like Dad and his big sister.  All proceeds go into the Luke Bailey Pony Company (a/k/a COLLEGE FUND).

Hank – 5-year old Red Horse Mule, 15.3 hands.   Every now and then you come across that one mule that causes you to stop and take a second look.  Although gorgeously handsome with his fluid, graceful features, what shines even brighter is the quiet confidence of a natural born athlete, taking pride in his own expectations and abilities.  Hank, (YES, HE'S ANOTHER "HARLEY BABY") has an extraordinary intelligence that keeps his mind & body busy. Once he understands what is expected, he uses his natural athletic ability to achieve and improve himself.  Although he takes pride in his accomplishments, he finds comfort in the slightest touch that acknowledges and encourages his effort.   Hank is not for the beginning rider, due to his size, strength and stamina.  Whether you're driving or riding Hank, he gives his all. It takes a lot to wear him out.  Given the opportunity and training, he would be a working cowboy’s dream. He also shows the natural potential to be a top notch show mule.  Hank's a class act, no matter where he is.
